Owls & Bridges is the recording project of songwriter J.J. Arthur. From basements to the cornfields of the Midwest, his songs find mystery and wonder in familiar places. Drawing on specific details, humor, loss, and the music and culture we carry with us, Arthur writes about the moments that become memories—and the strange pull of whatever might be waiting beyond them.
Real songs, given life through the magic of modern technology, the recordings are developed with AI-assisted production under Arthur's creative direction. Arthur writes the lyrics, chords, and melodies and contributes substantially to the arrangements.
